    Looking for a New Car

I am in the business of looking for a new car and need suggestions.

My first choice would be an Audi (A4), but I can't find the color I want. I need other suggestions. I want a sedan with a fair amount of bells and whistles.

Looking to pay up to 30,000 used or new

I've been really happy with my Infiniti G35. Large spectrum of add-ons available to you as well.

I'm sold on Subaru. There is a reason that there vehicles have a higher resale value than for any other manufacturer.

Re: Looking for a New Car

    Infiniti G37X used
Acura TL (if you can stand the front end look)
Used Hyundai Genesis sedan-Don't write it off

A BMW 328 used would be a good choice. A 335 would be great but major reliability issues with the fuel pump.

If you decide on an A4 I would go the used route. There will be a new 2012 A4 coming out redesigned which will could hurt resale even more. Of course you may also be able to get a huge discount on the Audi since they'll want to get the 2011's off the lot. If Audi does the same thing that they did to the new VW's this year, I'd rather have the older version. The new jetta is junk.

If you really want a loaded new car for $30K you will need to go down a segment and get something like a Honda Accord EX-L or the Hyundai Sonata.

Re: Looking for a New Car

    A few questions:

How important is performance to you versus a soft ride? If you don't care as much about sharp handling and want something that cruises nice on the highway, quiet, and reliable, another good choice would be a certified Lexus ES350. People will say that it's just a Toyota Camry but they would be wrong.

Funny you mention a Jetta, just looked at them yesterday. Didn't mind them, they seem to lack some sport though.

Just looked at Acura yesterday. Yea, the front end is bad. But, I like everything else about them. There changing the 2012 Audi? I didn't hear that. I was looking at some 2009 A4's

Re: Looking for a New Car

Fall of 2011 the new 2012 A4 will come out. I'm more excited about the A3 being redesigned in to a sedan. It was at the Paris auto show and it looked pretty sweet.

A couple of things I can tell you about the Audi. I had A VW GTI that had a 2.0T and a DSG transmission. A lot of A4's also have this combo. The motor has decent power and has been pretty reliable for VW/Audi. The DSG was amazing for an automatic.

If you can get past the front of the TL, it's a real good car if you get the SH-AWD model. Lot's of toys and a pretty good sound systme.

Audi probably has the best interior of the whole bunch though. They kill Infiniti and BMW on their interiors.

The Jetta's main draw is the TDI engine. Subaru is a better car imo. The Legacy 2.5 GT is as good of a value as a car can be. Functionality, performance, reliability and imo aesthetics match the price (although I prefer used). Could use better fuel economy- too bad it is not a diesel in the US.

I don't think it's much bigger than a TL. Definitely boring in the style department.

The Lexus IS250/IS350 is more of the size of the A4 but very un-lexus like. Hard ride and tiny back seat.
