More good news for the Cards

Just reported on the Cubs radio broadcast that Matt Holliday is going under the knife today for an apendectomy. It'll be awhile before he's back if true.

Heard that on the Cubs TV broadcast. That's really rough. Holliday seems like a good guy, and obviously a good player. I feel terrible for him.

It's unbelievable what's happening to that team this year. Ouch.

St. Louis Cardinals' Matt Holliday has appendectomy, return unknown - ESPN

If this is a joke, MLB and ESPN are both in on it. I doubt that.

I'm serious that I heard it on the Cubs' broadcast, but I'm also seriously stupid enough that I may well have fallen for an April Fools joke.....that never even registered.

I don't think Len and Bob are telling that one as an April Fools' joke. It's possible, but I don't think it's likely.

At this point, I fully expect Colby Rasmus to go down with a groin injury after doing the Cupid Shuffle.
