2011 - the year of the 'special' numbers

You guys have probably seen this but I hadn't.

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays.

This year we're going to experience four unusual dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11,
11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all...Take the last two digits of the year
in which you were born -now add the age you will be this year, and the result
will be 111 for everyone...!! This year
October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Saturdays. This happens only
    every 823 years...

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Works for 2000's too. Just not before 1900 which would leave out everyone I think. How old is the oldest living person?

EDIT: There are several living people born in the 1900's. So, once again the interwebs lie.

you must be using some wicked binary math that we don't understand: how does it work if you were born after 1999?

I like how this keeps floating around everywhere likes its voodoo magic. Who would have guessed if you start with the year your born, and add the number of years you have been living, would equal the current year?

I wonder if I try the same thing next year if it will be 112, just like the year will be 2012.

Any month with 31 days always has five of each of three consecutive days of the week (five Mon, Tues, Wed; five Fri, Sat, Sun; or similar). Each one of those seven possibilities happens one seventh of the time, although it's not a strict seven-year cycle because of leap years.

I think the point is this year the result is 111. Well, kinda (see above).

My thoughts, exactly. Now show me a month with 3 Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays! That would be something.

20 Saturdays would be nice, too.
