Who's on your in state wish list?

With junior Meeks committing to Nebraska this past week, who is your top Iowa junior picks for KJ to go after? Mine is Gabe Moreno, secure the legacy. Then get one or two of these light weight stud - first Cory Clark, then Eric DeVos and Jack Hathaway. I like Willie Milkus at 171 and Dylan Peters at 112 (backup for Finch and future starter after Finch)

Re: Who's on your in state wish list?

    Clark- SEP
Zach Witte- CRP; he got 2nd as a freshman, didn't qualify as a soph (lost to 1st and 2nd state placewinners at districts), beat Moreno this year
There is a wrestler from Assumption who is a freak. I think he's a junior but not sure.

Re: Who's on your in state wish list?

As I have heard it Clark from SEP is really into Iowa but that's just through the grapevine. DeVos is a wild card but should be good whereever he lands. And I believe Peters is also an Iowa lean. I really thought that Meeks might end up going to ISU but I guess I was wrong about that one. Are there any more good kids out of Ballard that ISU is after? That seems to be a good feeder program for ISU.

Re: Who's on your in state wish list?

The Iowa lean works to the point that there is money behind that lean. Also here Thomas Gilman of Neb is a Iowa lean. So that puts Clark, Gilman, Peters, and DeVos all at around 125 pounds. Can't give big dollars to all of them.

My guess will be Peters ends up at UNI. Very close to home.

Re: Who's on your in state wish list?

There is mention of several different walk-ons in-state heading to ISU:

    Tyler Swope (quad city school)
    Cole Anderson (forest City)
    Alex Spooner (forest City)
    Luke Swalla (ames)
    Ben Swalla (ames)
    Tyler Patton (webster city)
    Garret Hathaway (ICW)
    Britton Thompson (ICW)
    Matt White (albia)

Also heard Grothus is considering IA, ISU and Nebby...

Re: Who's on your in state wish list?

All the Iowa guys think Peters is all but locked up, but it wouldn't surprise me if he wound up at UNI wrestling with Wolfensberger. Long term I would rather have Brandon Sorenson from Denver, but I wouldn't be surprised if we pass on all the Iowa lightweights, and focus on Brandon guys like Liberatore and Bruno, who are better than anything in the state right now.

I would love to concentrate on Bruno, Liberatore, Glass (all of Brandon) and Massa from Michigan. Bruno #3/#9 at 130, Liberatore #3/#3 at 135, Glass #12/#16 at 152, Massa #2/#2 at 160. First in TOM ranking, second is Intermat. Glass would be least of my effort. The guys ranked ahead of Bruno(on TOM), Liberatore, and Massa are all seniors. So those 3 guys will probably start out next year #1 at their weight.

Yeah I know who you're talking about. Maybe it is relation, heard somebody on Cyclone Report mention that the Spooner posting on Hawkeye report is related to Alex. Not sure how much of everything is true.
