ND Using Helmet Cams on QBs

Just saw on ESPN that Notre Dame is using helmet cams on their QBs this spring so they can see what the QB is looking at during the play...they can tell if he's staring down certain receivers or if he's going through his progressions like he's supposed to...

As a former QB, thought this was a great idea...what an awesome teaching tool...I bet it catches on with other schools.

We have American Gladiators to thank for this technology.

What if he moves his eyes without moving his head?

They need a second camera near the top of his facemask pointing in to watch his eyes.

Better start using contact lens cams.

Using a camera helmet is a great idea overall, but they'd definitely need a way to ensure where his eyes are looking. One thing I learned as a QB is that defenders always go to where your helmet is pointing, not your eyes ;)

Do you guys remember when the USFL started having players wear helmet cams during actual games? That made for some AWESOME replays!

I imagine they can get cameras with the same field of vision the QBs eyes have.
