Quite the White Stripes representation on that list, but I didn't see "Seven Nation Army" on there. Saving that for another game? As well as Tool, Korn, Chevelle, others?

Yes, Seven Nation Army is being saved. I try to keep them under 2 hours and not too heavy (wife factor).

Wow, you have put a lot of thought into this. I will just listen to whatever is on XM, and make sure I am drinking Shiner. I must be a drunk, because the beer selection is most important to me.

Re: Ipod Playlist for first game?

I load up on the ACDC, GNR, Metallica, Zeppelin and Van Halen. Mix in some Killers and White Stripes. Then throw in some Sublime, Rage and Floyd for something off the wall. I'll also put in some grunge like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana. Finally, I add all my clips of ISU audio: Pete's calls, ISU marching band, etc.

Put the thing on shuffle and that makes for a great mix.

I usually put a little mix of everything. Some rock, some top 40, rap, even country. Plus always have the ISU fights ready to be cued up when needed. The College GameDay version of "Comin' to Your City" is something my roommate and I like to blast first thing in the morning on gameday, would be a good song to blast pulling into a visitor's parking lot on road trip too.

Re: Ipod Playlist for first game?

I like to go with A Perfect Circle (harder songs), Beck, Chevelle, Everclear, Green Day, Kid Rock, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Ludacris, My Chemical Romance, POD, Red, Stone Temple Pilots, System of a Down, The Showdown, The White Stripes, Tool, Velvet Revolver, as well as other songs I just happened to pull off of Strangesearch during my time at ISU (yes, I did just happen to scroll thru my MP3 player, but it's a pretty accurate database for virtually every single CD I own - a 30 GB player that's probably only a little more than 1/3 full, mostly from my CD collection)

i would add saliva- ladies and gentlemen

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I like to start off a little slow and then hit it a little hard. 6am is too early for Korn but by the time 8am rolls around.....

    ???

As soon as I get into work in the morning the hard stuff comes out. It's practically the only way I can keep myself awake in the morning

What? No Trivium's "Anthem (We Are The Fire)"? What's wrong with you?
