Radio or CDs. Usually make some "mix" CDs for tailgating. Probably will try some form of MP3 input this year with our new sound system once we figure out how it works.

Spend the $30 and get a device that sends a radio signal to your car. Great investment - if your car stereo isn't one of the ones that now comes with an auxiliary outlet for your MP3 player. Works well for our portable DVD player for the Monsoon stereo system in my Pontiac Grand Prix.

    Ipod

I use a Sik-Imp which plugs into the bottom of the Ipod for the best audio. It then plugs into the componet plug in's and runs through the stereo. Used this method for the last 5 years.

This sounds a lot better than just using the headset outlet or the FM modulator thingie.

I made my playlist 2 months ago. I've published it and others from last year out to Itunes. I create a new playlist for each game.

    Re: Audio for Tailgating Question

If youorder today you'll probably get one by Thursday. Keep in mind that if you don't have some kind of jacks to plug them in then you'll need to use the FM modulator thing.

We installed a Clarion deck in our RV that we haven't tried out yet but it has some kind of USB port on it so we'll have to read up on what we can connect to it. Assuming iPods and MP3 players will. Think we did see that you could load mp3s onto a flash drive and read it off there.

Portable XM boombox. Just plug your tuner into it and plop it on the table or top of the car. Works great, and I don't ever have to listen to commercials.

No commercials? But how will you ever learn about the latest and greatest 'All Natural Male Enhancer' product? I swear that every third commercial on the radio (especially sports radio) is pimping Viagra rip-offs.

Side question... Sirius or XM.. Do they both get pretty decent amounts of games and stuff? Equal would you say?

Within the next couple of years they're going to be one and the same company anyway...

    Re: Audio for Tailgating Question

This brings up a sore spot with me. I would like to listen to music, but in the past I have been unable to hear it due to the d-bags who bring their "racin trailor" and a 1947 generator to the game and put it in the ditch. The things make a 747 take off sound like a flea fart.

If you are going to bring a generator to the game, shell out a couple extra bucks so I can hear myself think. </rant>

I realize that, but do you think I should get in now in case they change their packages for the worse?
