Oh boy, I hate to say it but I would love to see Anderson not coach in the Big 12. His 40 minutes of Hell always crushes us it seems.

Would be nice to have two teams (Missouri and Tech) under new coaching staffs next year. Anderson is a very good coach. Let's hope they go after him hard.

    A) He has already coached there and was part of their National Championship team in 1994.
    B) The SEC is worse top to bottom in basketball than the Big XII, so he wouldn't have to beat Kansas, Texas, and whoever feels like being the third best team each year to win the conference, only Kentucky.
    C) His style is completely contradictory to everything run in the SEC and would handle opponents because it's so different, unlike all the run and gun teams in the Big XII.

Agree, Anderson has previously turned down recent SEC overtures from Georgia, Auburn and Alabama. Mizzou is a better job than Arkansas and Anderson's mentor, Nolan Richardson, did not leave Arkansas on the best of terms.

Because he was an assistant there and because the SEC is pretty down now and he could get rolling there in a short amount of time. He's now got all the Big 12 horses twice a year starting next year to boot.

Have you guys seen the fan support at MU? Not that great. Hilton wouldn't have an open seat if we had his teams the past couple of years. Plus, I think there is much more money at Arkansas than at Mizzou.

Mizzou fan support was very good for the most part this past season and there is substantial Wal-Mart money associated with both programs. The Mizzou arena at one time was named after a Bud Walton grandchild and Arky's arena is named Bud Walton Arena.

Maybe we have a chance of getting BJ Young with the coaching change.

    D. It has also been reported Anderson is not happy with the way Arkansas dealt with the Nolan Richardson situation.

For a good read head over to hogville.net, and the jumpball forum. Replacement names include Bill Self, Jamie Dixon, Mark Turgeon, Gillespie, and on and on.

He seems like a great fit to return Arkansas to prominence, and I'd rather have him there than at Missou
