ISU Basketball will put the POWER back in power forward next year!

ISU Basketball will put the POWER back in power forward next season! With White, Godfrey, Booker, and Railey the Cyclones will have the best front court in the history of Iowa State Basketball... I can't remember ISU having the combination of talent and depth down low, that will take the floor next year. Hope they all stay healthy...

I hope you're right, but I don't think we can crown them the best yet. Right now I'd rate the BAM trio (Baugh, Alexander, Mack) the best frontcourt I've seen at ISU. <Insert Sam Mack joke here>

Who do you think was better? We've had some great inside players but have we had this kind of depth? My best to this point might be Jared Homan and Jackson Vroman. Fizer and Cato didn't have much help down low when they played with pretty weak backups...

You must be assuming that White is going to go for about 30/10 a night because I've seen nothing from Railey to suggest he's going to be a productive big man and Booker was a pretty average player at a MVC school. Godfrey has shown a lot of promise but we are getting way ahead of ourselves with statements like this.

No, but white and godfrey might go 15/10 each with booker and railey giving them breathers off the bench.

White will average north of 18 and 8, in my amateur opinion. Booker will be in the 10/6 range, along with Godfrey. Should be a pretty deep front court.

That would be an unbelievable improvement for Booker after his first season in the MVC.

I feel confident saying Godfrey would but up numbers as a starter at least in the 10/6 range, so if Booker starts he's bringing something to the table.

You may turn out to be right, but to crown a couple of future sophs and two transfers that haven't played in a year as the best front court ever is a bit of a stretch.

As was mentioned, BAM were pretty darned good.
Other good ones were Cato, Pratt and Bankhead...
Fizer, Shirley, Rancik and Stevie Johnson...
    Meyer, Michalik...
    Vroman, Homan ..

Yeah, if this frontcourt is better than Fizer, Shirley, Rancik, and Stevie Johnson we have a lot to look forward to next year. I am as excited as anybody but White has never played a college game and Booker still has a lot to prove at this level.
