Wesley Staten leads team to final

Just got done listening to the heelan game, they won on a last second shot. Staten had 24pts and 7 assists. He took the game over in overtime, this kid is clutch he is the type of guard we need here. You can watch him on KCWI on Saturday night in the championship.

Well, he committed here in 8th grade and then backed off a year or so ago I think. Not sure of any updates other than that

Do we even have room for him?

Better question, do we want him?

Okoro also hit a buzzer beater in his game. His team ended up losing in OT, but its good to see recruits make some plays.

We have 2 scholarships to play with. I think we still want him, but he's behind a few guys. We've heard of Okoro, Dingle, Stauskas, Bennett, Nolan. I think we definately want a guard. It sounds like Lee wasn't very impressive so I think our order of want was Paige, Okoro, Staten, and Lee. We missed out on Paige so we are on Okoro right now. If we miss out on Okoro I think we go hard after Staten. Staten does still sound pretty impressive. I think we want a wing too. Our order was Tokoto, Webster-chan, Stauskas, Dingle. We missed on Tokoto and Webster-chan. I think if we can get a post thats better than Stauskas or Dingle like Nolan and Bennett we'll take them first. I have no inside info, but this is how I see it.

I know it seems like no one wants Cook back but I would love to have him back. Okoro and Dingle is my main wants. If we could get Nolan and Bennett than I would be extremely happy. Staten would be a solid get too. Stauskas and Niang I don't know much about them. Abrahamson would have to be the last option otherwise I would be a little disappointed.

I forgot about Cook. I would definately still take him. If he can get school work done I would put him as the top wing we are recruiting.

I hope we get Cook and Staten. I like our frontcourt with Godfrey, Booker, and White the next two years with Ejim filling in when he's not playing the 3. We have a glut of guys who can play PG coming in. We need wing players IMO.

Wow, third straight championship game for Heelan, and after another football championship appearance. What an amazing program.

Yet they bailed out from playing against the best competition in the state.

I would like Cook too. He looked physical, athletic and aggressive. Obviously with his past, you can't assume anything with him though.

Yeah, they bailed as much as you could say Harlan has since Heelan's enrollment is smaller.

    Hate on hater!
