Great effort, Burks was clutch for CU and we could have used a few more FTs made. Disappointing loss, but I love this team.

Burks was ridiculous and Scott and JVB both couldn't hit any threes. Good effort and great game by Jake and Diante.

Tough season but I never stopped enjoying this team.

Re: ***OFFICIAL ISU-COLORADO POST GAME THREAD***

Our boys absolutely got killed on the boards by the Buffs; the difference in game IMO. A few more rebounds on the offensive side and the 'Clones win and advance. Rebounding's been a big bug-a-boo for this team all this conference season.

Still an exciting game. Uncle Jake was just awesome!

At least MBB team finished with a .500 record, the first time in a while. A decent season record wise, much better hustle wise. I absolutely look forward to next BB season with a bigger and much deeper team. The Big 12 tourney losing streak ends in 2012, and they get back to the Big Dance to make some noise!

Really feel bad that these guys didn't go out on a higher note, but they went hard almost every game, and that's what is most impressive and admirable about this team.

Let's hope that we can get an NIT bid now.
Remember all you nay-sayers, the tournament is about money, not conference record. A team ending the season at a .500 over-all record can very easily be selected. And given the fact Hilton Colusium has a nice attendence history in this tourney, let's just keep our fingers crossed!

Re: ***OFFICIAL ISU-COLORADO POST GAME THREAD***

Just plain lacked in interior defense. Big players who could put it on the floor gave us hell all year. When you can't stop that, you're going to lose some close games.

Calvin gave good effort, but couldn't do it all. Ejim is playing a bit out of position. JVB, well, that's just not his thing.

I would better a expect a third tier tourney invite rather than second tier. If UNI can get an invite to the CIT, ISU can get one to the CBT, or CIT as well so long as JP wants to do it.

We played no defense all year!

I'm tired of watching this years' team based on the amount of defense they played. How many breakdowns did they have that last 3 mins. of the game. That's one thing Floyd always stressed was toughness, especially on the defense end. We never came up with any defensive stops when we needed to all year.

We will not be any better next year unless the new guys commit themselves on the d-end.

This is what I'm expecting next season along with more consistent offense.

Re: ***OFFICIAL ISU-COLORADO POST GAME THREAD***

So many shots just rolled in and out. And that last 2 minutes is just the story of our season, lack of legs has killed us all year. I'm gonna miss Uncle Jake out on that floor, he gave his all, and Diante (more often than not) was unstoppable. So excited for next year when we actually have interior defense.. great, great, great things to come in Iowa State basketball.. And a big thanks to DG, JVB, and Uncle Jake for setting the foundation. So.. when can they start practicing again?

Glad to see Jake go out like a champ. That was a performance worthy of a last game. Sadly, JVB went out with a whimper.

I am closer to this than the sunshine and roses good effort by all our guys bs. Look, if you can be in the game and have a lead late, you can win, unless you just have no leadership or constantly choke. Maybe its both. Whatever the case, I hope it changes for next year.

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.
