    Biggest Shots in Cyclone History

    1. Jeff Hornacek hitting the game winning shot in overtime in the first round of the NCAA tournament vs. Miami, OH.

I'd go 2A and say Jacy Holloway had a pretty big shot in that game as well.

From a putting the program on the map standpoint I still think Barry Steven's shot vs. Mizzou was pretty huge.

If we are adding to a list versus arguing which one is best, I would add:

-Kenny Pratt's 3 that gets us to the sweet sixteen in 1997

I nominate the Klay Edwards hook shot against Cincinnati in 1997 to add into the discussion.

Re: Biggest Shots in Cyclone History

Justis Thigpen's running 3 pointer from the head of the buffalo at the buzzer at CU ended up getting us a NCAA bid back in '92(?).

Also, didn't Kenny Pratt hit a big 3 against Cincinatti in that NCAA tournament game in '97? It wasn't the game winning shot, but it was huge in the scope of the game, and I'm not sure if he hit more than a couple 3's in his career. (edit, Linden beat me to it)

With Colorado on my mind......Justus Thigpen hit a nice buzzer beater from about 35 feet in Boulder. I think that was Hoiberg's soph. year. Anyways, a big shot because we struggled pretty bad that year on the road in conference games.

I kind of remembered this wrong, but Pratt hit a 3 earlier that was huge. I knew it wasn't a buzzer beater, but thought it might have been the last shot for ISU.

Not one of the biggest in history... just a point of emphasis that Nebraska sucks, and always will in hoops.

    Nice court too Nebby. Wow.

Elmer Robinson's dunk against Michagin in the NCAA's ....the classic "this is the JV vs. the varsity" line. Hardly any bigger for us than that one!

Then again, most of you on this site weren't even born when that happend!

Fizer had a huge shot in our victory at KU in 2000. Not bigger than an NCAA tourney shot, of course.

All of those bring back some great memories. Hornacek vs Miami was one of the first that came to mind, probably because I was working at the time, and watching the game in the back room, and when he hit that, I was jumping up and down, and yelling my fool head off, and when I came out of the back room, there were customers staring at me.
