    Robert Downey Jr

Caught Less than Zero on Show time last night:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Less_Than_Zero_(film)

I hated this movie when I first saw it, but it's grown on me. Sad ending, but what a great piece of art from an acting and story stand point. Robert Downey Jr. and Andrew McCarthy just did a bang up job of acting.

Really liked Downy Jr.'s work up to that point, but didn't watch many of his movies after that. Didn't realize he had such a drug addiction problem. His career had a bit of a renaissance in the last few years(at the same time his drug problem went away). Lot of talent there and he's aged pretty well for as hard a life as he's led.

I'm slowly realizing how prolific RDJ has been. Came across Weird Science last night while surfing. He's in there. Remember "Back to School?" One of my favorite lines ever: "Football is just a cryptofascist metaphor for thermonuclear war." No idea what that means, but I'll use it once or twice a year anyway.

I've always thought Less than Zero was one of his best performances. He played the part all too well and, unfortunately, there's a reason.

If you haven't read the book (Bret Easton Ellis) you should check it out. He wrote American Psycho too. Good author.

One of my favorite comedies. Now I gotta go return some videotapes

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.
