    Some Veisha questions.

I'm hoping to attend VEISHA for the first time this year, and I have some questions after looking at the website about.

In regards to the concerts, all I see are mentions of alumni, students, and faculty members. Does that mean I'm unable to attend them due to my not being an ISU student?

Same goes for Donald Glover being at Stephens Auditorium, though that event is free.

Basically, what all can I do and not do, since I'm not a student? Events, Tournaments, Contests, etc.

My father, step-mother, and sister are all alumni if that helps, though I don't plan on going with any of them. I hope to go with my best friend, and she's not an ISU student either.

To actually answer your question, the comedy shows have always been free and open to the public. The concerts are on a first come first serve usually, but they have never sold out. So if you are worried about getting into the concerts ask someone to buy you a bracelet before hand, if not you can buy them at the gate during VEISHEA.

Right. Students can get them, like, 2 weeks in advance, but as stated they never sell out so you'd have a good shot at getting a wristband when you get in town. If you know a particularly nice ISU student they might be willing to buy one for you if you promise to pay them back.

With that said, many members of this board, myself included, are ISU students.

    Yes anyone can buy tickets.

I buy tickets early for my friends from other schools just so it's a couple bucks cheaper but yes anyone can go to anything. It will be predominately students at the concerts, comedian and other shows but it's open to anyone.

    Re: Some Veisha questions.

I have another VEISHEA related question:

Is there an Athletic Department Rummage Sale this year? And if so, when and where? The site is organized horribly. I don't know why they can't make a link to the overall schedule prominent on the front page.

Haven't heard of one yet. Last year was Saturday morning outside of Jacobsen Building.

Umm... no. They haven't. Unless you're talking about the "open mic night" type of comedy shows at VEISHEA.

For the last 4 years they have been free and open to the public. Multiple people in my party just walked in. And I am talking about the lead comedian, bill burr, john oliver, and the three last year.

The rummage sale hasn't been on VEISHEA for a few years now. First one in a couple of years was the Sunday before classes started last year during the fan fest. Won't be another one until at least then probably.

It wasn't for Dane Cook, Jim Gaffigan, or Dave Attell from 05-07.
