    Kent State Game

I am going on a family vacation that happens to overlap with the Thurs. night opening game next week. I will be away from internet access and of course can't watch the game on TV or listen by radio.

My question: Which one of you diehards will agree to call me every five minutes or so in my hotel with an update? Better yet, could you just stay on the line for the duration of the game to let me know what is going on? Thanks in advance.

    1-800-555-TELL

that number is for a service called "tell me". you can command it to tell you certain things, like sports scores or stock market values. you have to go through the command and specify down to the iowa state college football game (in reverse order). I have used this during weddings last fall, and i use it for NFL games when i'm traveling. you need to have a semi-quiet background for the voice command and it is absolutely free of charge.

    Re: Kent State Game

This is why CF is the best...already the offers for texting and other ideas pouring in. Is there a button for "Rep All"?

I mostly posted tongue-in-cheek about the game. I will probably follow along via ESPN's bottom line or something. The wife was wickedly happy I wouldn't be following play-by-play.

However, I can use this game to earn points to be immersed in other games this season, so all is not lost.
