Re: Bolte's bright career in Hilton will end tonigh

This is always a fantastic experience. The last game of a storied career. This is a young woman who we will talk about in years to come along the likes of Gahan and Taylor. Get your butts out tonight (the weather is going to be beautiful!) and support the team for the last home game. Stay and listen to Bolt's goodbyes afterwards. Believe me its worth it.

Re: Bolte's bright career in Hilton will end tonight

We'll miss it, but, our seats will be filled by family. The players' speeches are very revealing. If Clone Zone doesn't carry the post-game, I hope they archive it. BF tweets that senior managers Steph Shuey and Steven Fennelly will also be recognized. I don't think they make speeches. Brittany Lange got to make an abbreviated speech, but, she had been a player.

Weve got a pretty good football conference, and weve got a pretty good conference overall. Were still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that. Paul Rhoads

Re: Bolte's bright career in Hilton will end tonight

I have gotten the feeling that Bolte has been worried about this day since her freshman year. Hopefully the leadership role she took hold of this year has helped her get over that fear, and she plays a great game leading up to her speech. If there is anyone she should not be afraid to talk to it is her fans at Hilton.

Speeches are usually pretty good, but it would be hard to top Amanda Nisleit jumping over a phone book to prove to BF that she could.

Jumping over the GILBERT phone book. :)

Actually, iirc, the Gilbert listings are in the Ames phone book so she jumped over the entire Ames phone book to prove it.

Or last year when Florzak proclaimed she was available.

An audible gasp went through the young male crowd after that. Was she the one Easley spoke of as a "marshmallow"?

I doubt there will be much in the way of belittling comments in Bolte's history. She's been a heroine from day one and deserving of every accolade we can muster.

Amanda jumping phone books? No something more: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRNUGf-ydjo]YouTube - Amanda Nisleit Cup Stacking[/ame]

As Kelsey says goodbye to Hilton tonight next season for the first time since I think 2004 we have no incoming Freshman from Iowa. Love the potential of those Texans next season, but no freshman player from Iowa is something I'll miss.
