Who will win the NBA Eastern Conference?

Just wondering what you all thought of what should be a very good playoff bracket.

Celtics. Too good at D, and too clutch for any other team. They'll beat the Bulls in the ECF.

I'll take the Magic - as long as the Bulls and Celtics lose before the Magic get to them...

Agreed. I think it will be a Bulls/Celtics series. Could be a good one.

There will be some legendary series in the East and West this year.

Who's the best in the East? Maybe it's the Bulls, maybe it's the Celtics. I don't know. What I do know, it's not the Heat.

They could be if they stop letting Lebron take the last shot. Is there anyone less clutch than LeBum?

Bulls or Celtics easy. I would take the Bulls after the Perkins trade.

My buddy and I were just saying that last night. Like, "At what point did Wade stop taking the clutch shots for the Heat?"

Miami is 14-15 against teams with a .500 record or better. They are 0-3 against the Celtics, and 0-2 against the Bulls...

Miami is also 29-2 against teams below a .500 record. Watching Miami lose in the playoffs will be fun.

I don't like that Perkins trade in the short term. IMO it will be somebody other than the Celtics.

Exactly. D. Rose is a beast.

Re: Who will win the NBA Eastern Conference?

Before the trade deadline I would have said Boston had a great chance. Now I think it's wide open. Miami will be tough to beat in a playoff series, especially with the amount of calls Wade and LeBron get late in games. Plus it sounds like they will try to sign Mike Bibby after he is bought out. Bibby is old but he's better than Chalmers.

The Bulls are very interesting to me. I wish they had a little more at the SG spot. I don't trust Orlando much in big games. Arenas isn't Agent Zero anymore and Dwight Howard is more interested in being an entertainer than he is winning championships. Boston v Chicago would be great. I definitely wouldn't want to face the Knicks in the first round, though.

Re: Who will win the NBA Eastern Conference?

The Bulls need a SG. Other than that I think they have a very solid roster. Coach T has them playing very well, and they haven't had their starting 5 healthy for more than 10 games or so this year. Booz and Noah will be physical which is key in they playoffs. Rose is a straight-faced assasin. He should be MVP because without him the Bulls are their typical 8-seed. I give them a slight nod over the Celtics, only because of the Perkins/Robinson deal.
NY really looked good last night and are a serious contender.
All-in-all, the East should make for some long and bruising matchups.

Re: Who will win the NBA Eastern Conference?

Yesterday was the first time I have ever rooted for the NY Knicks, and it had nothing to do with them. I just dislike the Miami Heat that much. LeBron's left-handed alley oop dunk was nice, though.
