    Is Railey suspended?

I thought that he would get some minutes against the NU big guys. I don't remember him getting in the game.

He got in the last minute of the first half, so no.

JVB and Godfrey were playing well enough that Railey wasn't needed.

Jamie was able to go for longer than they thought. And Calvin was playing well.

    Re: Is Railey suspended?

Railey's role has been to rebound and play defense. He's done that very well over the past few games. However, JVB showed early that he could also rebound and play defense against Nebraska. So as long as he could keep up the pace, he was a much better option than Railey. If JVB was playing the same as he was earlier in the month I would have been right with you asking where Railey was, but thankfully he came to play.

Yes, I noticed too; one of the subtle other things he brings to the game!

Fred and his staff have done an unbelievable job of player development. I'm so optimistic for what's to come.

Is this the best shooting free throw team for us in 20 years?
We have no real dud free throw shooters at this point.

It is almost like Hoiberg has hypnotized them into "Use the force."

We will definitely need Railey against CU to plug the middle.

It certainly feels like it after the past few years...In fact, I seem to remember free throws being a point of concern last season at least.

It's nice to feel confident when we get to the line and I think that confidence is having an even greater positive effect on their shooting at the line.

No wonder why announcers say that some of our success is dependent on getting to the line (since we're shooting so well from there)

Ejim scares me at the line for some reason. He is at 70% for the season but seems to miss critical ones.

Godfrey and JVB were playing great. I also think Railey is probably still in Fred's dog house for now.

He seems to me to have lost a big chunk of his confidence overall as the season has progressed. I hope that he is able to build it back up with all of the hard work he does in the off season and comes back with an even better mindset (and, of course, improved skills) than with which he started his freshman season.
