    MLB.TV

Alright well i just droped my cable provider this week, and am going with google tv/Internet for all my viewing pleasures. My question is Im a big Royals baseball fan, and live in Council Bluffs. Are the Royals games going to be blacked out for me on MLB.TV? Im guessing it will be but dont think it should be...

    thanks

    Re: MLB.TV

I think it is...and agree it shouldn't be! What a joke...like I am going to pay for MLB.tv in Iowa so I can watch the Marlins...or Mariners? If I buy MLB.tv I should get the games I most care about!

    Re: MLB.TV

I believe they will be blacked out for you......Royals, White Sox, Cards, Cubs, Twins and I think the Brewers.....Iowa is considered to be home for all of these teams and we're subject to the blackouts for all of them.

Some day MLB will get rid of their archaic blackout rules. Some day.

    Re: MLB.TV

Its been this way for decades. Its ridiculous. No amount of ******** will do anything at this point. MLB has heard us all ******** about it loud and clear but have chosen to do nothing about it. Fanbases of 5 different freaking teams here in this state have all been complaining and they don't give a ****.

As a Cubs fan, seeing games get blacked out in the market that houses the Cubs' minor league team has really soured me on the MLB. Their blackout rules have done the exact opposite of their intent.....they have ****** off the fans of those teams. Its not like we can all hop in the car and make the 5 hour drive to Chicago to watch games all the time. Same with going to KC, St. Louis, Minneapolis....etc. etc.

Rant over. This topic always pisses me off.

It should. It's completely ridiculous. It's taking money out of MLB's pocket because it prevents people from buying these packages instead of encouraging them to buy it.

    Re: MLB.TV

MLB blackout rules are absolutely atrocious. Iowa gets screwed big time. Why are we blocked out from 5 different teams? I get MLB.TV so I can watch the Rockies, but when they play Milwaukee or Chicago, I can't watch. Brutal.

Other than that, I love MLB.TV. Ha.
