Does anyone actually talk on their cell phone anymore?

Anymore, I probably text 9 times out of 10 when I'm dealing with someone... whether family, friends, business. My wife and I rarely talk on the phone, but we'll text 25-50 times a day. If I do get a call, I'll have a small panic attack, let it go to voicemail and text or email them back. Hopefully I'm not the only social misfit around here, lol.

I just got a Droid X probably 2 months ago, and it still freaks me out a little when it rings for how little it happens.

Same reaction here. I've had my HTC Droid Incredible a little over a week now and I've already become so enamored with its data capabilities that when the phone actually rings I'm like WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

Probably field and make 10-20 calls per day. Probably text once a day.

I use my phone a ton, but for business communication, I love to use email, as you can touch base without bothering your client, and also have documentation to refer back to.

Talking to a buddy last night about this subject. He has a 12 year old and on their last months phone statement, the 12 year old used zero minutes. Not one call in or out all month, just texts.

Never text. Sometimes talk. Usually use my land line though.

If you're 50 or over, you can remember when Archie Bunker used to pantomime committing suicide when his wife Edith would embark on one of her long and winding stories. That was me before texting.

I think half the women in Omaha talk on their cell phone while driving, shopping etc.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

Re: Does anyone actually talk on their cell phone anymore?

I talk a lot relative to others. I just don't like the constant back and forth of texting. If it's a "what time will you be here" deal then text but if it's "what's your plans for tonight?" then I call. It's just a pain to me.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

Re: Does anyone actually talk on their cell phone anymore?

If I remember right, last month I had 6,459 text messages and 37 minutes used talking on the phone? Tons easier just e-mailing/texting/etc than using the actual "phone" part of my phone.
