Who makes the NCAA's from the Big 12?

I honestly think we only get five. Barring complete meltdowns, I think KU, UT, A&M, and MU are in. I honestly think KSU ends up making a push. They have a really strong SOS and their RPI is very solid. Basically, they are in the same boat as Michigan State, and I think they get in too.

The only other real options are Nebraska and Baylor, and their SOS and RPI are terrible. They would probably have to finish really strong. If either one can get three of their next four and pick up a game or two in the tourney itís possible but I just donít see it.

    Any other opinions on this?

Don't look now but CU is only down 3 to Texas after being behind by 22. CU wins this and they are in the conversation for sure.

During the KSU/MU game, they put up their resume. They have no bad losses (until we show up in Manhattan) and have the #5 SOS. They are also picking it up late in the season which the committee likes. Unless they lose to us twice (reg. season finale and Big12 tourney) I can see them getting in.

Essentially, it is the five plus either Baylor or Colorado if they make a run to finish out the season.

I think KSU is probably in, too, although the SOS seems more like a "doesn't hurt" at this point ó challenging non-conference schedule, and most of the Cats' losses are to tournament locks. Just enough big wins (KU, now Missouri), and as you said, no bad losses at this point.

I have five in. Four locks (UT, KU, Missouri, A&M) and a "solid" (KSU).

Colorado and Baylor are interesting cases.

Colorado has Missouri & KSU wins, but losses to OU, Baylor and Nebraska won't help ó they were on the road, so none of them were damaging, but it'd be better not to have those hanging around. NC losses like Harvard aren't damaging, but don't help.

Baylor has some "permissible losses" (Gonzaga, Florida State) and bad road record, but it did help to have its road win come at A&M.

Nebraska looks "out." No wins against any team of significance OOC. Texas win is big, and A&M win helps, but that's about it.

ISU would have been a stone's throw from Interesting Case status with 3 of those close games (although at least one would've had to be KU or Missouri).
