    Melo to the Nets?

Not a NBA fan but huge deal involving a ton of players and draft picks.

Report: Carmelo Anthony may go to New Jersey Nets in multiplayer deal - NBA News | FOX Sports on MSN

If Anthony agrees, the Nets will get Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Sheldon Williams, Melvin Ely and Renaldo Balkman from the Nuggets. In turn, the Nets will send Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, Ben Uzoh and four first-round picks to Denver, The Record reports.
Denver getting FOUR first round picks is insane...

    Re: Melo to the Nets

i still see him going to the knicks. they are at least improving and melo + amare would be a great duo. there would be 3 teams competing for the title in the east...at least til garnett and allen retire

    Re: Melo to the Nets?

Why does Melo want a team to trade for him when he can just wait for the season to end? Whoever makes the trade is going to have to give up half their team to get him.

Isn't the NBA shaping up to possibly go into a lockout too? Maybe wants to get his contract figured out before all that happens.

He can get traded and sign a 63 million extension or something crazy by the end of this season...

Once the season is over, likely there will be a lockout and the max contracts will be worth millions less.

Exactly. If he gets a deal now, it could be a max contract like Wade got. 7 years nearly 20 million a year.

With the possible lockout, it could limit what a max contract would be.

Hope he goes to the Nets. They need him worse.

    Re: Melo to the Nets?

I cannot fathom the meltdown from Knicks fans if he ends up in New Jersey. It will be epic!
