    Way OT: The Heart

Went in to see a cardiologist for what I thought was simply part of some ongoing health issues -- ended up here in St Lukes in CR. Just finished an echocardiogram and, in the morning, I'm having a heart catherization, PCI and possibly more depending on what they find. Dr. called me a walking time bomb. What a wake-up call as I'm not obese and take reasonably good care of myself. If you think you might have an issue (shortness of breath, fatigue, tingling, etc.) go in and get it checked. Obviously I hope to be back on the site soon. Wish me luck.

Sounds like it was good that the condition was found now. Best of luck.

    Re: Way OT: The Heart

Well, apparently right now is not a good time for hearts. Yesterday my wife and I found out that our unborn baby girl has hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Essentially meaning she will be born with half of a working heart and will need multiple surgeries and eventually a heart transplant. Really puts things in perspective when you get news like this. Never take anything for granted.
    Best of luck to you.

Hang in there man. Being in good shape should help you a bunch to get through this. I'm going to have to google those words just to find out what they're going to do to you. Go Cyclones!
