Re: NCAA expands investigation into Auburn recruiting

It might be news worthy if the NCAA demonstrated integrity and consistency, but we all know that isn't true.

As long as everyone proclaims ignorance, the NCAA will likely exonerate them.

True...there is alot of "I don't know" answers here which, anymore, is probably good enough.

Auburn: "We never illegally recruited anyone, and we'll never do it again."
    NCAA: "OK, then."

Re: NCAA expands investigation into Auburn recruiting

In December, Lorio told FOXSports.com that several coaches and students saw Robinson show off cash and a new iPhone at school after making an unofficial visit to Auburn earlier in the year.
Looks like they got off a little cheaper than what they had to pay for Cam. Although it doesn't say how much cash he was showing off so maybe not...

Who cares, the NCAA is more corrupt than a third world government. They will never give a national champion any sanctions.

For your reading enjoyment, here is another article regarding the situation. It still amazes me that Mississippi State reported the situation to both the NCAA and the Southeastern Conference a year ago, yet absolutely nothing was done until somehow the media got wind of it.

Not THAT amazing - it'd be like if ISU reported a similar situation to both the NCAA and Big 12 a year ago, then Nebraska goes on to have an unexpected stellar year, and nothing was done until somehow the media got wind of it...

I could see the NCAA finding violations with Auburn and other recruits, that way they could let them keep their NCAA championship but still look like they are coming down hard. Ugh.

I believe in Coach Chizik's integrity. If he said that there were no violations, we should trust him

Agree...but that just might be the last of the big programs to get drilled by the NCAA. See Ohio State.
