    Re: Player Profile: Jevohn Miller

Also, a little story for those who haven't heard it:

Jevohn had put in a video this drill he was doing. He had a four foot tall box and he was jumping up one it. Impressive right? Well, he then decided that he didn't really need to be on top of it so he just started jumping over it forward and backward. That's levitation homes.

Small town Iowa has produced some gems and Miller sounds like one of them. The more I hear and read about him, the more excited I get to see him on the field.

Kid hits like a brick. Out of all the recruits I'm most excited to see what Jevohn could turn into.

If he stays at LBer I fully expect him to be like Knott or Klein. I just think he's one of those type of guys.

That was the first thing I thought when I watched his film.

    Re: Player Profile: Jevohn Miller

He did play at my hometown of Brooklyn, talent doesn't go through those parts very often. The strength of opponents he's paled against is nowhere near the D1 level. I hope he can adapt and help that ISU defense.

The most important in the long run is his physical ability and projected potential, not the competition that he has faced in high school. The lesser competition might hold him back some in the first year or so, but the early enrollment will help offset the high school competition. He will go into August camp having gone head-to-head against better competition than any other freshman recruit.

That's the same for every player in Iowa.

    Re: Player Profile: Jevohn Miller

I've said it in a couple of Miller threads before. I fully believe Jevohn could be another Bryce Paup.

For those of you that don't know who Bryce Paup was, he played at Scranton (before they combined with Jefferson) and played on a team that had about 15 total players. Kid was around 220 and did everything for them from LB to Kicker to Punter to RB to Returns, etc. He ended up being all everything at UNI and later went on to star for the Packers.

    Re: Player Profile: Jevohn Miller

He looked a bit short for DE when I met with him in person. Didnt really seem 6'2 at all. I was surprised when he said something about maybe DE later.

Hopefully he will be a great linebacker.

I remember CPR talking about Knott possibly playing DE too. I don't think that they'll move Knott to DE.

LOL, don't sell him short. His career was much more than the Packers. He had some success there, made the pro bowl once, I think. But he didn't become a star til he went to Buffalo, where he made the pro bowl each year he played, and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
