Major Solar Flare Tonight 9:00 PM

Massive solar flare hits Earth tonight | TG Daily

The biggest in four years has blasted out from the sun, and is expected to reach Earth late tonight.

The flare, or (CME), was emitted on Monday at 8:56pm EST. It's been categorized as a Class X2.2 flare, the most severe type. It follows one Class M - medium-sized - flare the day before, and several low-grade Class C flares over the preceding week.

Check out your radio reception and GPS equipment.

Buh, buh, buh, it's not 2012 yet...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

A billboard in Boone says the end of the world is coming in May, I don't see why a billboard would lie to me.

Re: Major Solar Flare Tonight 9:00 PM

I wonder if the medium flare that preceded this one by a day had anything to do with the serious degradation of the signal at the very end of the BB game last night. Did anyone else have a major break up of signal during the coverage immediately post game last night?

I was watching on DirecTV, Full Court.

If there aren't clouds up here in MN, we might see Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).

ESPN3 conked at about buzzer time and crackled in pain for awhile.
