    Chris Babb playing SF?

Now that Elgin Cook is going to prep school is 6'5 Chris Babb going to split time at SF with Ejim? Then Allen and Scott can split time at the 2. Then McGee Sledge and Odunsi can split time at the point?

I think that was the initial plan.

Babb will likely play SF most of the time and some PF (as indicated by Fred). Ejim will probably split time at SF and PF. Allen will also play some SF in 3 guard looks as well as SG. Scotty will likely play SG only. McGee will probably play both PG and SG as well as Odunsi. Sledge will probably play only PG.

Fred should have lots of good options next season, especially if the freshmen are ready and good enough to contribute.

Babb will play both SF and SG. the 3 guys, Scotty, Allen, and Babb will be very versatile next year, and playing time will depend a lot on matchups, and who's got the hot hand that night.

I really hope he doesnt play much pf. I hate seeing players playing out of position.

Our PF is not a typical PF. We basically use a PF as a center and play with 3 guards and a SF

You are absolutely right. I am just tired of seeing Ejim at the 4. I feel like it is holding him back right now, we need him to be able to shoot the ball more than try to post up bigs that are 4 inches taller than him.

Good questions. Call into Hoiberg's call-in show on Monday night and I bet ya he gives a pretty accurate information how he plans to utilize the transfers and incoming players.

I think people get too concerned about positions.

I thought Cook was on the outside looking in as far as the rotation this fall.

Disagree. I would rather see Ejim down low rebounding and drawing fouls than on the outside. I cringe every time he puts up a jumper lately.

Early on, many people were comparing Ejim to Grayer, but I'm seeing his game developing more like a Kenny Pratt. I think that will be a very valuable role for Mel.

Melvin has rarely posted up other bigs this season. Also, Melvin's ballhandling and outside shooting have not been good in conference games which is what he'll need to improve on if he expects to get PT at the 3 next season.

    Re: Chris Babb playing SF?

We will be in a 3-guard lineup most of the time. Babb will be one of the guardss (or the small forward if you please).

An early guess at the starting lineup:

    Allen
    SC
    Babb
    White
    Booker/Godfrey/Railey/Ejim

I think Ejim is the 6th man, splitting time playing on both the wing and inside at times when we go small. Mcghee is first guard off the bench and plays a ton. I see this 9-man rotation getting most of the minutes, with the freshman guards getting spot minutes.
