    Chris Colvin

I just read via Randy Brown that Iowa is recruiting Colvin. I've glanced at his stats throughout the season and he's been putting up some impressive numbers at Palm Beach State CC. He left on interesting/not so good terms, but it would be a little annoying to have him come back to our in-state rival and be successful.

He'll probably go to Illinois if they offer him a scholarship.

    Re: Chris Colvin

    I could see that happening

He was a skilled player, a little out of control at times, but as a freshmen, but of course McDoormat killed any chance he had of being successful

They can have his dad and his attitude. I agree, he is a talented player though.

    Re: Chris Colvin

It was my understanding that Minnesota is actually in the lead for him and Marquette must be expecting a transfer because they are re-recruiting him again---Interesting because they still have Vander Blue (former 5 star point guard). Aside from Wes Johnson, I actually think this will be the transfer that hurts the most because in the right tempo, he could be very good!

    Re: Chris Colvin

I can't see a reason to boo him. He left because of a coach that would have been fired at the end of this year.

    Re: Chris Colvin

Weren't Iowa fans the ones recently criticizing Hoiberg and ISU for recruiting transfers with character issues? From what I've read, Chris' attitude hasn't changed a bit from when he was here either.

    Re: Chris Colvin

colvin has talent, and let's face it, there's plenty of programs looking for talent at PG.

minnesota, marquette, illinois, baylor etc all have talented, underachieving teams due to (mostly) PG issues.

Minnesota would be a great place for him. They essentially don't have a starting PG, let alone a backup or a walk-on PG. He'd see a lot of playing time next year. But i don't know if from a coach/player perspective, that Tubby is the right coach for him. He might need a coach that allows the PG a little more space to operate.

Royce from MN to ISU in exchange for Colvin. I'll take that trade any day.
