We will be picked last, and deservedly so. We may be better than last year (here's to hope anyway), but we have to make people believe.

    2. Missouri
    3. Colorado
    4. Kansas St.
    5. Iowa State

I know....disrespecting Kansas. I just feel like everything fell right for them last year.

    Re: Big 12 North Projections

    1. Nebraska
    2. Missouri (Pinkel has that McCarney vibe about him - can't get the job done)
-from here down there's just so much uncertainty it really can fall any way
    3. K-State (to me seems to be the best of the rest based on last year)
    4. Iowa St
    5. Kansas (Mangino just doesn't have me sold he's a good coach. His most impressive wins seem to be against McCarney-led ISU teams...)
    6. Colorado (A program in such a mess with not much talent to speak of last year IMO just isn't going to flip that switch in just one year. I guess the same can be said of Iowa St, but I just feel we have better talent and a better coach than they do).

    Re: Big 12 North Projections

Don't sleep on Colorado this year. Their defense was great last year and kept them in a lot of games that would have made their 2-10 record very different. If their offense can get running at all, look out.

    My thoughts:
    1. Nebraska
    2. Missouri
    3. Colorado
    4. Iowa State
    5. Kansas State <-- will get off to a hot start in the Big 12, but will fizzle out towards the end of the year.
    6. Kansas

    Re: Big 12 North Projections

No way does NU not win the north this year. Mizzou is the only real team that can beat them, and they fold more than ISU or the cubs do. Mizzou will start out and set the world on fire and then go 1-6 their last 7 games. They have done that every year. Heck they even lost to ISU last year, or wait they said they won.

The past is no predictor of the future. If that was the case, I never would have gotten maried,

Unfortunatly I agree with the preseason predictor. The only thing we have going for us is our quarterback and receivers. Both lines are almost all new kids. The rest of the Big 12 teams have more experience.

So if past is no predictor of the future, we are going to go 12-0 and beat USC in the BCS national championship game?

I suppose. My point was that just because Missoruri, Kansas etc. has done this and that over the years, doesn't mean it will be the same this year.

Our QB is definitely in the top 3 in the North, probably in the top 2 and possibly the best. I think we beat Kansas, K-State and Colorado.

Colorado scares me...I think Hawkins is a much better coach than people on here want to admit.

    Re: Big 12 North Projections

Hawkins is a great coach, it is just going to take him a while to rebuild from that nuclear meltdown that he was left with. Kinda like what Walden and Criner left Dan with.

Did anyone else see Todd McShay from ESPN pick Kansas to win the north? I think I posted it on here a few days ago, but either way, had to bring it up again. I don't know where he's getting it from...
