Go IowaState scholly breakdown, projected depth chart

    http://www.isuisu.com/2011-iowa-stat...hip-situation/
    haven't seen this posted(and didn't use search either-lazy sunday).

currently sitting at 86 with 85 available, but it lists lonzie range and matt tauofoou as questionable whether they will be renewed or not.

also has jantz as #1 qb, farniok as #1 center.

linebacker is interesting after ajk and jk-young group, hopefully as talented as i hope

    safety-washington and broomfield

reeves as #2 cb, young #4

very surprised they see chris young as #7 wr. just heard a lot of good things about him for him to rs last year and now see this.

it also is showing guyer as an rs jr.

i realize this is more opinions then anything, but i would think the sholly breakdown is accurate, so if nothing else, it should give us a little clarity on the situation.

Sucks if we do lose Matt Tauofoou... Hopefully George will be ready to step up and start with Knott as the OLB's and Klein in the middle... not much depth though.

Hopefully Mattison is as fast as advertised last year... and has added a little more bulk. I think Jevon Miller will be a baller like Knott and Klein also...

Has Jamison Lalk listed at tight end, he's going to play OT.

We aren't even to spring ball yet. Everything anyone says is nothing more than a projection.

Re: Go IowaState scholly breakdown, projected depth chart

It is purely speculation on my part.....just trying to figure out the scholarship situation. I have no inside information on Tau'fo'ou or Range, I hope they are still a part of the 85. I originally had Jamison Lalk on the offensive line, but Cyclones.com lists him as a tight end so I changed it.

Re: Go IowaState scholly breakdown, projected depth chart

Now that I say that....Cyclones.com has Lalk listed as a TE in one spot and an OL in another. I am pretty sure the coaches have been talking about him at tackle. I will get it switched.

Earl Brooks is on scholarship, any insight on the TE position? Why Howard over Hammerschmidt?

On the NSD coaches interviews, he was called an offensive tackle (can't remember which coach it was).

Re: Go IowaState scholly breakdown, projected depth chart

I changed Earl Brooks to a scholarship player. No real insight on the TE battle, should be good competition between Hammerschmidt and Howard. It seemed like Howard was coming on before he got injured last year.

Is Jarvis West really only 156 pounds?

He is absolutely, 100%, definitely playing OT. This would not be a position change, he was recruited as a tackle.

He's closer to 170. They took some of his height and weight and gave it to Steele. Duck Hollis will surprise at RB this spring. He has speed, power, pass carching ability, and the ability to pass protect. Woody has power and can pass protect....we lose a lot with him in the game. He's a good player, but he doesnt have the ability of DH.
