    Stocking Hats at the gym

Why do dudes wear stocking hats when lifting weights??? Is this covered in intro to d-bags?

Couldn't agree with this more. I don't get it... They just look like D-bags.

What's that tattered red sox ball cap do for your bench press? I think

Yes Yes, this guy is my favorite. He usually is accompanied by a 64 oz sippy cup of some pink or blue liquid. Also, he typically likes to glare into the wrap-around mirrors when completing each of his 10 sets of curls.

Is that also accompanied by a syringe full of "medicine" that for some strange reason he has to inject between his toes?

I love it when dbags wear uniforms. Makes it so much easier to spot. Other helpful items include Tapout gear, Ed Hardy, sunglasses indoors, bedazzled jeans and popped collars.

Re: Stocking Hats at the gym

Call me weird but I used to do this when I worked out because I like to sweat a lot when I work out. I know some of you tough guys are going to come on and say "work harder, yadda yadda," but its just an old wrestler thing to where I dont feel like I'm doing much unless im pouring buckets of sweat out. I usually wore sweatshirts when I
    lifted too, is that douchey?

    +1
I do the same thing, but is it cold in my basement so the sweats and stocking hat serve 2 purposes for me.

I would be more worried about the guy in the gym that brings a "shake weight" and uses it between sets, rather than the guy in the stocking hat.

Re: Stocking Hats at the gym

I generally lift weights in blue jeans and a t-shirt. (No hat for the record.) This doesn't fit in with the dress code. But, really, who gives a ****? I'm there for myself, not to impress anyone.

I'm of the opinion that it's pretty douchey to judge others based on what they wear to work out. If wearing a hat while working out works for these guys, let them wear their hats. They may or may not be a ******, but it isn't because they are wearing a hat.

Re: Stocking Hats at the gym

Sometimes I wonder who's more douchey - the people that wear/do certain things that make people think they're douches, or the people who have to create a new thread every other day accusing said people of being douches just to make themselves feel better about their own lives.

I mean, really - ripping on someone because they wear a stocking cap when they work out? At least they're taking care of their bodies and their health, unlike some random internet message board posters who eat 5 Krispy Kremes and drink 10 Pepsis a day.

Someone wears a stocking cap when they work out - who really gives a ****?

(and no, I'm not defending my own behavior - I sweat too much as it is working out and hardly need another excuse for more sweat to pour out of my body. But I really don't give a **** if someone else decides to)

I agree with this, and no, I don't rock a stocking hat, Tap Out gear or a cut off that looks like a tank top.

I go to the the gym to workout, not to check out other dudes and what they are wearing.

Re: Stocking Hats at the gym

If a person has the time to check out what others are wearing to the gym then maybe they should be a little bit more focused on their workout to see better results.
