    No.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Re: Is Bubu on scholarship?

Wondering when and if he is going to get a scholarship. Seems like the right thing to do considering what he has done for the team as a two year walk on player. A guy likes to see someone reap a reward after doing good work.
I'm hoping this works out for him in the end.

Unfortunately, there are not enough scholarships to go around right now to give to Bubu. If it were me, which it isn't because I suck at BB, I'd rather walk-on to ISU and get a great education than get a scholarship at Directional State Uni. and get a half-*** education.

Not going to happen. There's too many better players Fred will bring into the program in the future that need scholarships.

I like Bubu and all but I don't see a reason to have him on scholarship.

    Re: Is Bubu on scholarship?

I was actually wondering if they were able to put him on scholarship for this semester since we have an extra one right now. Obviously it would be with the understanding that it would go away in the fall, but no reason not to give your best walk-on a break on tuition (and access to the perks of being on scholarship) for the time being.

    Re: Is Bubu on scholarship?

I agree with the popular opinion here. Bubu is a great kid, and this season would be even worse without him stepping up and logging critical minutes for a redshirt freshman walk-on. With that said, he just isn't at the level of the scholarship players we are targeting, and shouldn't receive a scholarship over an incoming recruit.

It might not seem fair at first glance, but really the playing time should be reward enough for a walk-on, not the potential for a scholarship.

This I would be okay with if you can do that. I believe you can because LE did that for Varley back a few years ago.

Taking a scholarship away from a walk-on would be an extremely difficult thing to do. Tough conversation to have...

Unless you told em up front this was only for a semester.

That wouldn't be the situation though, because it's just an extra scholarship that everyone would know going in would only be for a semester.

    Re: Is Bubu on scholarship?

Has anyone considered that Bubu's dad works for ISU and that since he is from another country he might not pay very much if any tuition?

Exactly. It would be an excellent bone to throw to a guy who (I assume) walked on without an expectation of ever getting a scholly. "We recognize and appreciate your contribution and are rewarding it as best we can while still doing everything we can to build a winning team to play with you. Enjoy your semester and keep working hard this season and this upcoming off-season."

"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
