    Railey and McKnight

I was watching Railey play today and he looks to have a physical side to him that ISU has lacked in the past. An extra push here an extra shove there a guy that isnt afraid to get into it with other players. Like that he didnt back down when the KSU player tried to bite him also.

Is McKnight still with the team. I know he maybe raw but in a game like today there has to be a few mins he can see some action.

    Re: Railey and McKnight

That double technical was such BS. There was nothing really physical so give them a warning to knock it off. That call had too big of an impact on the game for what it deserved.

I'm pretty sure Kelly tried to bite him.

From what I saw when McKnight was in some games early in the year, I would consider him a liability more than calling him raw.

He has potential but has a long way to go.

    Re: Railey and McKnight

I think Railey might wind of having a little Jared Homan to his game. Big guy with a developing jumper and has shown he can carry a bit of a chip on his shoulder.

I really like Railey. Would't be suprised if Lucious is a done deal, and McKnight is the link.

    Re: Railey and McKnight

I think putting in a football player over McKnight was a not-so-subtle hint that maybe he should start exploring his options elsewhere. McKnight reminds me of Reggie George, looks like a intriuging prospect but just lacks the skill.

McKnight has Antwon Oliver written all over him, unfortunately.

    Re: Railey and McKnight

Hoiberg mentioned in the last "Coach talks" that McKnight and he needed to discuss his future after the season. He said it in a very generic way, but it seemed to really hint towards the future.

As for the double technical, I understand the call. I think separating the guys would have been just fine at first. I absolutely love Railey for refusing to back down. I love the fight he showed there. Absolutely outstanding. It's the only way to compete against a team like KSU.

    Re: Railey and McKnight

Railey sure plays a heck of a lot better defense then JVB. He got some bogus calls today, but he has the body of a Soph/Junior. Little clumsy at times which get him in foul trouble.

Railey and Godfrey are going to be two very good defensive players.

Nailed it. The writing is basically on the wall at this point.
