    D. J. Richardson

According to the link, D. J. has an offer from ISU (as well as a whole bunch of other schools (16!)). 2009 guard from Peoria Central.

Anyone have any info? I haven't heard anything about him.

Illinois and Iowa were in on him a long time ago. Very solid player.

I don't understand this. I was expecting to see a 6'10" post player getting an offer.

6'3, 165? Damn......I'm 6'2, 175, and I'm so skinny it looks like my legs are going to break off when I run. Hopefully he'll put some muscle on in the next year or so.

I understand we have expectations about what we need, and we like to discuss them, but if McD seems to think we're ok with the size we have and is wanting to go after this guy, and potentially could be a valuable addition to our lineup, I'm not going to question him on it. He's seemed very competent so far...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

    Re: D. J. Richardson

Guards win at the college level, even moreso than the pros.

Look at Illinois three years ago, a big point (Williams), two smaller guards (Brown, and Head), a 6'6 forward, who did the dirty work, and a 6'10 center. That was as good of a college team that I have seen. North Carolina dominated them inside that night, but I think those teams would have split if they played 10 games.

Actually looking at that paragraph, it looks quite a bit like the 2000 team.

I like the fact that we are getting situated in the backcourt. They make almost all of the plays anyway. If Brackins is what he is touted to be, and AT, Vette, and whoever can guard and rebound, we will be fine there.

Great point.....just look at ISU's best teams. Thigpen and Bayless, Horton and Tinsley, etc.
