Interesting trend with MBB start times

I just noticed that we are 0-6 in games tipping at 8:00. Not only are we winless, in many of those games we came out completely flat. I know it is only an hour difference, but I wonder if the later time slot has something to do with the lackluster starts that we've seen over the past three games. Perhaps an issue adjusting to a different routine.

But, then again maybe it's just wishful thinking since we don't have anymore 8:00 games.

I think the 8pm home games have to go. I doubt it has net detrimental affect on the players themselves, because the opposing team playing them should be equally affected, being more flat as well. But, the later times have to be detrimental to attendance and fans are probably slightly more tired and less engaged/likely to cheer. I just think it is stupid overall because less people want to go stay out that late (especially on a weeknight), particularly people who are over 30 and/or have families, which is probably about 75% of the potential attendees.

Re: Interesting trend with MBB start times

I hate 8 PM tips, but they can't be the reason that we're losing, since the other teams is playing at 8 as well.

If we make too much of this, it'll be just like GMac's excuse for losing at Bradley.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

I've noticed that too. It probably means nothing, but I know that football coaches don't like to have to wait around all day for a game, I'm figuring basketball coaches/players might be the same way.

It'll be interesting to see how we come out on Saturday with a 12:45 start.

Re: Interesting trend with MBB start times

To be fair, we come out flat in every single game. Doesn't matter the start time.

But I was looking forward to the non-8 PM tip, until I realized I'll have to wake up before 1 this Saturday
