My Sleeper recruit - just went bye bye.....

    Damnit!!!!

I thought this kid had a chance to be a cyclone, some decent offers and we were in the mix on him even if Rivals does not list him with a cyclone offer....

Mike Mustafa committed last night to Okie State.....would have been a very good development player and cud have really been a player in 1-2 years.....

I thought this was going to be our DT recruit that would make people happy....guess okie state thought he was good too!!!!!

    NEXT!!!!!

Re: My Sleeper recruit - just went bye bye.....

Someone I thought could be somewhat of a sleeper is Everett Pleasant. Obviously he is listed as TE but with the size and frame he has I think he would be a great conversion into DE at ISU. With ISU shown as his only offer standing, does he sign here and the staff place him into a position they see fit?

I have no real knowledge of him as a player but looks like to could complete at DE to me.

We may not get any of these late DTs this year.

CFH HMagic bball season next year.
Let my Fred's Four Horsemen ride: Georges, Hogue, Nader, and McKay.

Rivals has a recent update on him and the title of the article is "Likely a JUCO." Likely never going to see him in an ISU uni. Even if we do a sign and place, we never get those kids back.

I saw KState just picked up a 4star DE, Junior Seau's nephew. Must be nice.

ahh, I assumed there had to be an issue something like grades, etc. Seemed to have a much more mature athletic body than his offer list showed.

Maybe we could tutor him, up like they do in the SEC.

If this happens I am predicting 5 wins/year for the foreseeable future. This is just pathetic. And I don't want to hear the"Rhoads only recruits players that will make a difference crap". The fact is this OSU squad that just grabbed Mustafa will run us into the ground next year and for the next decade. If they thought he was good enough to play for them, he is good enough to get some more interest from us. The fact we sit on our duff and fight with these guys in the final month of recruiting is ludicrous. Not getting a single projected DT is pathetic. The Kansas and KStates of the world all have projected DTs on their committ list. Will all these guys work out? No, but they have kids to work with. We are going to have to try and make mountains out of molehills, and that is not a recipe for success.

My thoughts exactly Brett! I really hope that there is an issue with this kid. When I saw OK State pick him up I was furious.

If it happens, I'm willing to put money against your 5 wins/year. One class does not make or break a program in terms of DLine depth, and we've got the talent to compete for a year or two before we might need help.

Well, when you have zero academic standards it makes it really easy.

Re: My Sleeper recruit - just went bye bye.....

Yeah I am getting sick of seeing our defensive line get manhandled and never adding any good players to it. They usually end up making our defensive backs look silly because they can't get to the QB. Hopefully CPR knows what he is doing on the recruiting front. We know he can coach. Hopefully we get the recruiting going.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.
