    Stay Positive!

Come on Iowa State fans. We are better than this. Tonights game was tough (unlike our defense) but this was to be expected. We are playing 7 guys, 2 of which are freshmen, and 1 of which is a walk on. We are going to have some growing pains.

But the direction of the program has not looked this promising in a long time. Let's refrain from calling out TRUE freshmen who are forced into roles that are not their strengths. Freshmen who in the future will be very good when they are put in the spots that show their skills and make them successful. Let's refrain from calling out the players who are busting their tails out there. Because they are. These guys are playing 30 to 35 minutes a game, every game, and they are going up against guys who are bigger and more mature than they are.

Stay positive, don't jump off the ledge on this loss. This season is already 1,000X better than any of us thought it would be going in. Just sit back and appreciate the job that these kids and this staff is doing. They are playing HARD and busting their butts.

I love this team, but we can't catch a break. I think the future is super bright, and we may still get some nice wins this year, but this loss sucks big time.

    Re: Stay Positive!

If I feel any disappointment, it's for the team and players. They are working their ***** off every night.

I'm more excited about Iowa State basketball than I have been in a long time. These kids will get rewarded if they just keep after it, and I know that they will.

    Re: Stay Positive!

I'm dissapointed and a little upset as well. I think you can feel that way and still refrain from calling out players in these threads. I mean these kids are playing without a full deck. They are asked to do things that normally they wouldn't be asked to do. I think the team has stayed positive and played hard. That's all I can ask for. No doubt losing still sucks.

This is the kind of team that loses to TT at home, but goes on the road and beats KU or something. Up and down.

Yeah, I posted before I looked at the "post traumatic stress" thread or whatever. I still stand by my post, but I don't think things are dire. The OSU and NU losses really suck now. I love our team and hope they can pull something out of this season, but they are wiped it sounds like and need rest.

When all cylinders are clicking, its a real fun team to watch. When their not, well, this is what can happen.

I agree not to jump off the ledge, but it's certainly OK to be upset and ****** after that effort. If you aren't, that's apathy, that's Iowa City.

    This ^^^^!!!!

If we have to take it out on someone let's make fun of Pat Knight's sweat suit, or the fact that Singletary is using his 7th year of eligibility. Let's stop eating our own young.

I want 16 wins at least to improve over McD. I knew that UNI game was a must.

CU lost to UNI by 5 tonight.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

We have to do better than Hawks in conference. That is a must.

If the transfers disappoint next year, I dont know if I will ever have hope for ISU basketball again.
