    Goodnight

After this loss, you can pretty much say goodnight to our postseason hopes.... I'm not saying I had any hopes of that kind before the season started, but this team pulled me into believe they could come out of no where and do it.

Their true colors are now showing. Not big enough, nor are we even close to being physical enough in the paint to compete in the Big XII. We don't have a long enough bench and yes, I know we have a lot of freshman playing that lack Big XII experience. I'm just stating facts.

We are a three point shooting team, obviously, and when we can't make threes or even play defense against a terrible Texas Tech team, were going to lose like we saw tonight.

I new last week probably wouldn't be a great week. I expected that. But I really felt we could sweep these two games at home, against below average teams and get back into the Big XII race and keep our NIT hopes alive.

I still love this team and especially this coaching staff, but I expected more tonight. We played with no motivation. You would think a team playing away from home in a week would be pumped about coming back home, but that didn't seem like it was the case.

Maybe we could still turn it around this season, but it is sure looking dark and gloomy now.

    “That’s hard to express!”

“So proud of the effort, my kids gave, to win tonight!”

We only need four more wins for the NIT. I still think those wins are out there. We will beat a few teams we shouldn't just like we lost one we should have won tonight. That's how basketball goes. Sometimes (tonight) you can't make one and they can't miss. We'll win some more. No need to worry.

    Re: Goodnight

3-4 wins tops in conference, and the only way this team goes post season is if they upset at least 1 team and win 6 conference games.

    Re: Goodnight

The NIT hopes took a huge hit when we blew that game to Nebraska and all about evaporated when we lost to OSU. It's tough to make the NIT these days.

This was the back breaker game though. Nebby and OSU were alright to lose IF we didn't lose anymore game we SHOULD win.

I do agree that the NIT is alot harder to get into now a days.

    Re: Goodnight

Unless they catch fire from 3, this team is going to lose every game they have left. I'm wondering what the school record is for ppg given up, because this team is going to break it.

    Re: Goodnight

I won't put anything past this team. They were running on a lot of momentum before, and it definitely got lost with the OSU game. If they can find a way to get past this rough patch and regain it, they could run off four or five in a row.

    Re: Goodnight

I'm sorry I didn't realize we had already lost the rest of our games. Jesus, you guys are pessimists! We are in a slump right now, but we will snap out of it. We'll start making our shots, and executing on defense again. This team isn't going to quit. We'll upset some people and win some more of our home games. This was a bad loss to a bad team...I get it. But don't let tonight's efforts color the rest of the year. If we win four more we end the season at 5-11 and 18-13. We have a great storyline and fans eager for any kind of success. The NIT would love any excuse to have us in their tourney.

The only thing we can do is keep cheering. This year has been kind of a head-fake so far...

    Re: Goodnight

5 conference wins WILL NOT get this team in the NIT. You are smoking the ganja.

Need 6 minimum and very possibly 7 to get there.

Nice defeatist attitude. Seems like after every loss, the French take over the board.
