    Free Personal Finance Software

Anyone have any good personal finance or accounting type freeware? I am looking at something to track my finances...revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities.

Decent reporting option would be nice. Maybe like a 12 month cash flow, Balance sheet, and revenue/expense report.

Let me know if you have any advice.

Not sure if this has everything you're looking for but Mint.com is very nice.

I'm still not comfortable putting all my personal finances on one web site like Mint. I guess I'm old fashioned or something.

I use GnuCash and like it. It's open source and has a few quirks when you're getting started but it does everything I need. Best of all, I know it will always be in a format I can use and will never be subscription based or anything like that.

Those of us who are wary and type-A are just hosed, then. I also don't want my information like that centrally-located online.

I tried GnuCash a while ago, but never got past the initial setup. My mom is a bookkeeper and always has the current version of Quicken, so I get a "courtesy install" . Whenever that is no longer an option I will strongly consider GnuCash.

My impression from my previous interaction with it was that it didn't have some of the polish/bells-and-whistles of commercial programs, but the core functionality was there.
