    Taco Bell "meat"

Lawsuit to Taco Bell: Where's the beef?

I knew there was a reason I hated fast food mexican so much.

Plus you get about one mouthful of beef in a soft taco and a ton of lettuce....with all that wheat and soy filler, you could be a vegan...

I haven't eaten Taco Bell in years. The last time I bought it was late night after the bar and even then it was disgusting.

Of course if you eliminate the beef, you reduce the odds of e-coli contamination. Something Taco Bell hasn't had for a couple of years now.

My friend used to work at Taco Bell. The boxes of beef say "Grade D. Still Safe for Human Consumption". Safe being the relative term it is, that soy could be saving your life.

I think people who like real food are going to miss Happy Joes in Ames. When I was in school there, Happy Joes was one of the few pizza places that refused to use TVP (textured vegetable protein) in their pizza meat or any artificial fillers in their cheeses. I don't know who does now, but at the time I know that at the very least two national chains in town did use them. You'd be surprised what is in the food you eat at a national chain fast food or pizza place.

I've avoided all mexican chains like this for most of my life so this is an uneducated guess, but if taco bell does it i would think taco john's probably isnt much better.

I heard the same thing. Funny though I have only heard of A and D grade meat, never seeing B or C.

This is why I eat pancharos. At least their beef is actual beef.

    Re: Taco Bell "meat"

Hopefully nobody thought any of this crap was real food anyway. Yes, I eat there on occasion but my expectations arent high either when everything they sell costs about a buck. My beef (HA) with them is that most of the stuffed, layered whatever they have is about 50% sauce, cheeze, sour cream, rice, etc, basically a bunch of condiments on a shell with a little meat like product. Like I said though what do you expect for that price?
Taco Johns is way better too

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.
