    Practice report 8-13

More pass catching by Robinson out of the backfield. In a blitz situation no less! Wonder if that ever occurred to BarneyMac?

'tiny little text etched into her neck it said "jesus lived and died for all your sins." she's got blue black ink and it's scratched into her lower back. it said: "damn right i'll rise again." yeah, damn right you'll rise again.'

Based on no more that the highlights of practice reports, I'm getting the impression that it is down to Robinson and Bass for the number one tailback spot, and Robinson may be the leader.

Meyer's completion percentage could go through the roof if we had a back that could catch a screen pass.

How many times have you seen us have some team on a 3rd and long and the QB dumps it to a tailback for a 23 yard gain?
    Crap...

Um I remeber a couple of 2.3 yard gains, I can barely remeber the last time a RB had a 23 yard gain on any play.

I think he's talking about the other team... in which case, yes, that sort of thing happened to us all the time.

Plus it is a great tool to slow down the pass rush if the offensive line is struggling... The ends wont be able to come in as fast if they know they have to turn around and start chasing!

The nice thing to see this year is that there are actual changesin the depth chart. In the previous era, once you have the starting job, it was next to impossible to lose it. Fear of losing a starting job and having the chance to grab a starting spot will make the m play so much harder. Hopefully the continue to make moves for the good of the team once the season starts.

Robinson and Bass as the top two running backs? Very interesting... I wonder if they'd consider Scales at another position, or maybe move Harris?
