    Bring on the Aggies...

Here is another game that we have to play an almost perfect game to win. I think we have to crank up the defense a notch and then slow the game tempo down. We can't run with them but we could out muscle them if all our posts show up. If Prins is bothered by small posts then Adams should really give her fits. After you get past Adams and White they mainly have role players. Go with the three posts and make it impossible to get the ball into Adams. I bet we see a zone right off the bat as I don't think we can stay with their speed. Lastly, I hope that we have a sell out crowd for this one. I will see everyone there. Here are the names and numbers...

    Gonna be very tough.

That said, we haven't really had a game yet where it all comes together. Maybe this will be it.

    Re: Bring on the Aggies...

I hope the team used their bye week to work some things out. If not this maybe the one of the ugliest losses seen in Hilton in some time.

Yeah. This game has the possibility to be really great or really bad.

    Re: Bring on the Aggies...

The Aggies are #1 in the nation in turnover margin and turnovers forced -- an astounding 25 per game. And they have the #7 best field goal shooting percentage in the nation at 47.4%. And their bench is ridiculously strong --- their bench alone has outscored the whole opposing team in 14 of their 17 games this year. Gulp.

But I still have a good feeling about this one and am recalling our 17-point win over A&M at Hilton two years ago....

    Re: Bring on the Aggies...

Hey Fanatics, we have about 25 minutes until tip. Remember if you can't make it to the game, it's on Fox Sports Net.

There should be a big crowd at Hilton today!

Schroll is NOT cleared to play, unfortunately. That really hurts depth.

    Re: Bring on the Aggies...

ISU only has 8 healthy players who see any real playing time:

    PG Mansfield, Cole
    G Bolte Harris
    P Prins, Poppens, Christofferson, Zimmerman

That means only one guard (other than Arganbright) is on the bench when ISU goes 3G. That is especially bad against A&M.

    Starters:
    Mansfield
    Cole
    Bolte
    Christofferson
    Poppens

The above-mentioned sprained ankle for Prins explains her absence. Her minutes are probably limited. We have almost no bench for this game.

It looks like Anna is warming up without any problems right now. Definitely something to keep an eye on though as the game wears on.

LOL - Coach Gary Blair just presented Bill with a cardinal and gold neck tie at half court. Aw shucks, what a nice guy.

GREAT start. 8-3 ISU at the first break. We are playing great defense and attacking the rim on offense.
