    You have to give him credit, he hired the assistant coaches that won the national championship and bought the right players for it.

    I am afraid that what appears to have gone on at Auburn has really left a stench on college fb. Add in Ohio St and the fiasco in Iowa City, and the reality that the filth is getting closer to Ames, is very discouraging to say the least. We are left to wonder if this is the beginning of the end of college athletics as we have known it.

    Lovie Smith has done a much better job than Gene this season. If the Bears win the Superbowl and Gene's team isn't even in the playoffs this is a real crime.
