he needs a better highlight film. anyone can run around the field and give out cheap shots.

Maybe this kid will end up being good but all that video shows me is he is good at blindsiding people 5-10 yard away from the action.

Logan's dad I'm guessing? Has a good frame, but none of those highlights are impressive but as young as he is I'd assume he'll become pretty good.

I don't think they were necessarily cheap shots, but usually a highlight video includes more drive-blocking at the point of attack. It's rare to seea highlight video including backside blocks a few yards from the play. Not saying its not part of the game, but not all that impressive.

as a LT I'd really like to see him pass block.
Hgt and Wgt don't match up, if he's 6-5 he's welll over 255

I coached a kid that was 6-6 250 that FreeRents offered
him based on the fact that he made every tackle on kick off coverage.

Re: Possible big time Left Tackle prospect from Illinois

He has a ways to go. He is only 15 though so I suppose it could happen. He needs to improve footwork and put together better tapes. Every highlight tape doesn't need to be only hits and shiny plays. Showing him doing the right things is just as impressive as him laying someone out a few yards from the play.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

Didn't play much football did you? As an offensive lineman, they are taught to get down field if the play is going away from them and hit the first person they see in case of a cutback by the RB. So, if hitting an opposing player from the front without any flags or penalties is a cheap shot, then the game of football as drastically changed since I played.

Granted, I do agree that for a highlight video to show anything for a left tackle, there needs to be more drive blocks and pass blocking but still, this kid is 15 and has a lot of room to grow and get better. Hopefully he grows and gets better and continues to like the Clones!

Send video to Iowa State. Nobody here is involved in the coaching and recruiting and evaluating and offering of scholarship. Many think they are, but none actually are.

    Snarky much?

Who on this board has claimed to be involved with coaching, recruiting, evaluating, and offering scholarships for ISU football?
People have offered their independent anlysis and opinions.

You yourself have made several assumptions and offered numerous opinions on ISU recruiting so I would think you woud understand this.

You really shouldn't be taking shots at our recruiting coordinator for the defensive line. It's no wonder we can't land any d-line recruits when he has to spend all of his time on CF defending himself.

Apparently I have given out too much rep in the last 24 hours, but when I get some more bullets in my rep gun you've got some coming.

I just laughed so hard my coworkers gave me funny looks.
