    NBA Draft

Any chance of DG getting drafted if he continues to play this well in big 12? What do you guys think?

    Re: NBA Draft

DG will get looked at no doubt..Prob a mid second rounder with no guarantees. Any point guard with over 15 ppg, and the assist to turnover ratio he has should be drafted.

Well, Jimlad, under a pro or CFH system, he makes the cut. Under a slow ball use the clock system, he is Euro qualified. He can do both. That said, I think he gets a tryout this summer in Vegas.

He's earning a tryout and some attention. That's all anyone could ask right now.

In my opinion, all he's maybe missing is strength, but that can be worked on.

    Re: NBA Draft

With all the games on full court or elsewhere, it is easier to scout from afar than 30 years ago. Right now he will be playing some NBA like guards, and it will be interesting to see how well he does against them in this system. A nice highlight to show the scouts - his dropoff assist pass for the Godfrey dunk was excellent as he took a sneak peak behind him and Calvin coming for the CW monster dunk.

    Re: NBA Draft

His shooting has definitely improved, but it is still the biggest weakness in his game and I think will probably prevent him from being drafted. The potential is there, the consistency is not.

    Re: NBA Draft

If an NBA team wants him, they don't want him for his shooting anyway. He has a combination of length and speed that few others do; NBA scouts covet that. If he gets picked up, it'll be as a third point, who is just there to blend in, handle and distribute the ball, and defend the opponent's point, particularly against the pick-and-roll.

He's got a decent shot, but I think it will depend far more on his wins and assists than his point totals.

    Re: NBA Draft

I would rate his chances at about 10%.

    Re: NBA Draft

He's on the radar now at least. I would be surprised if he was drafted but it's not impossible. I suspect he'll play in the weaker pre-draft camp at Portsmouth and he'll get a summer league invite. Hopefully he makes the most of his great senior year.
