    Biggest Surprise?

Who do you think is the biggest surprise so far this season? I think Calvin Godfrey is my pick. Before the season started, I kinda knew DG would be a big time scorer so i expected that. DG really isn't a surprise for me, i had a feeling he would be pretty good this year. But Calvin Godfrey has amazed me. Coming in i knew he would get some minutes and some rebounds, but i had no idea he would be making the impact that he is making so far.

Jake Anderson, if I knew he would be the type of player that wants to be on the other teams best scorer he wouldn't be. He has just been phenomenal for this team.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

My answer is all of the above. New guys have all played above the level I would have hoped for (except for the dearly departed Mr. Phillips of course) and JVB, Scotty and DG have stepped up to the challenge and are displaying talents I didn't necessarily know they had.

It's a total team - not a bunch of individual pieces.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

I've got to go with CFH, all the parts on this team are pretty much what I expected. How they have jelled together is what has surprised me so much.

I did NOT expect Anderson to be bringing down 9 rebounds a game. What a scrappy player. I like him.

Anderson is my pick, love the way he plays and how he does all the dirty work for this team.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

Hands down Diante. They way he has stepped up and become a dominant player in the league has blown me away. Anderson and Vanderbeken are not too far behind though.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

Biggest surprise is how well the CFH-Lutz two headed coach is working out. Calvin has a ton of upside and Jake is the most over achieving player on the court. JVB is doing great with blocked shots. DG is making very difficult layups. Scotty is taking the pill inside and sinking NBA threes. Bubu looks like a nemesis on defense. Edge has been extremely consistent every game as he improves. Railey is hustling and shooting well. McKnight has done fine when he enters the game. The football players have not passed out in practice yet.

This is not your everyday thrown together team. Looking more like the 2005 fball team every day.

CFH HMagic bball season next year.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

DG's improvement from year 3 to year 4 has been phenomenal, so I picked him. Honestly though, I would vote the entire team if I could, including coaches.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

I picked DG. Without him picking up his overall game, we are not having a very good season right now. And I've never seen him shoot so well from outside, you can tell he is confident in his shot.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

I went with DG. I've always liked him despite being frustrated by him a lot, but the way he has stepped up this year is nothing short of amazing.

Jake and Godfrey have been nice surprises too.

Anybody surprised by how Scotty is playing wasn't paying attention last year. He was playing great as he started getting over mono towards the end of the season.

I went with Anderson. The kid is doing all the little things to win us games that nobody would ever expect.

    Re: Biggest Surprise?

I chose Anderson. I had no idea what to expect from him. Uncle Jake's leadership and hard-nosed play have really helped the team.
