    Someone from last years team

the no one talks about allot is Dendy. I will go out on a limb and say that if he was on the team this year, we would be at worst a 1 loss team right now. His athleticism and defense inside would have been exactly what we need.

I agree. He was a vacuum cleaner around the bucket. Boy, did he make a mistake.

He had raw talent for sure, but I'm not sure I'd want to mess with the chemistry that this team has right now.

Who's to say he wouldn't have bought in?

Re: Someone from last years team

All signs on him last year pointed to him being a problem player who didn't really want to be here. If we could just take his on court production, I would. If everything else came with it, that is another story.

Re: Someone from last years team

Not sure he would have the work ethic...he usually got gassed after a few times down the court in Mac's offense. But totally agree, if either he or Ham stays, we're looking at maybe being undefeated at this point as well.

Re: Someone from last years team

Dendy is exactly what we need but his drama was getting ridiculous. Is he quitting the team during holiday break? Is he quitting the team in February? I always support players but enough was enough. If you don't want to be here, GTFO.

I loved his game on the court but he needed to grow up as a person. Great athlete and feel for the game considering his overall inexperience at playing basketball at a high level.

I'd have to agree...Our leading rebounder is 6'2" and our leading shotblocker is JVB---never would have thought this team could be 14-4 with those two things occuring

Re: Someone from last years team

Given that everybody bought in, I think Dendy would have bought in.

He would need to play defense and rebound, and dunk the ball on fast breaks. He would love that, because those were his favorite parts to the game.

As far as defense, he at least liked blocking shots, but he seemed to like the physical games, too.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

I think Fred could have worked with his family and him. That is one of CFH's strong points. He just seemed like he needed a little more guidance.

He might have, who knows? But he seemed, from a total outsider's perspective, to be a bit of a wild card in his temperament, and IF that was the case, I wouldn't want him anywhere near our current players (or transfers eligible for next year especially included).

Who knows if he academically even would have been eligible too...I'm just saying I don't think he was hitting the books all that hard...

It was his loss more than ours. Isn't he playing at a juco now? Not a smart move by the Dendster.

Re: Someone from last years team

I think Dendy was just fine, I put the blame 100% on the coach and his way of relating to players. Dendy made mistakes but a good coach relationship, nothing would have ever came to surface. Dendy is a stud and would be tearing it up this year.
