Fred was the best fit for coach

Fred brings so much intensity to the floor as head coach.

Re: Fred was the best fit for coach

Well, I agree with the title but "intensity" isn't exactly the wording I would use to describe him. I think it is more of a calm confidence. I think Bobby Knight was intense. Freddie is probably the most calm coach I've ever seen, and I like that about him. Unless you were being facetious....

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Agreed and I don't think Izzo, Coach K or Self would have these very players performing better than Fred does.

It's confidence. These players have confidence. With that, even less-talented and less-deep teams can make some noise.

    Fred is the man!

Re: Fred was the best fit for coach

Izzo, Coach K or Self have never had to coach players like this. They have 4 star or 5 star players. It is amaozing to see what Fred has done. Makes me vey happy for those guys.

I am also impressed with the coaching staff he put together. I hope they all stay for a long time.

I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all.

Re: Fred was the best fit for coach

In his short time as coach, the national media has really picked up on Fred's story. I have no doubt that they're more than willing to lavish praise on him. This year and next year are huge for ISU basketball, and so far, so GREAT.

If he can have two good years after the disaster he inherited, he will be well on his way to establishing ISU as a top basketball destination.

Drew and Self and Roy Williams look like yappers on the sideline. I bet the refs like Fred's demeanor much better.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

Some people are just natural-born winners and leaders of men. Fred ia the perfect example of that.
