Thankfully his sister is doing pretty well and opened her eyes yesterday, though no doubt a long road in front of her to recover. The little girl is the daughter of a Dodger scout and grand daughter of former mlb player Dallas Green, who managed the Philly's to a world series and I believe was GM for the Cubs for awhile.

I knew Alex in college. I could have sworn he was from Mexico. We both were at Otopalik house in Knapp hall. We were two of the best foosball players on the floor.
I'm glad his sister is doing better - she seems like a great person.

I went to high school with Alex (Sabino HS in Tucson, AZ), he was the kicker on our football team and homecoming king. We graduated in the same class. He was indeed from Mexico. Gabrielle is 9 years younger than us, thus born in Tucson.

Had Alex in science and humanities 230 I believe and a history class also. In s& h230 in got upin front of the class and did the old garret morris SNL line using football instead of baseball. Football has been bery bery good to me. Absolutely one of the funniest things I ever saw in person. Was a good guy personaly as weel as a great kicker. Glad his sis is improving from this tragic event.

Wow - Alex was one of the greatest kickers in ISU history. I swear he had the longest distance of any kicker at ISU. Unfortunately he missed that bunnie FG (or was it a extra point) at Oklahoma.

My sincere prayers for his sister and the family
