    It is estimated that about 70% of the US surface is covered with snow!

    Last time I was in Hawaii to get away from the winter weather in Minnesota there were winter storm warnings on the big island. It seems kind of weird to hear that when you are sitting on the beach in your swim suit.

    It sure seems like there have been extremes in precipitation (storms) around the world. That flooding in Australia looks biblical.
